The Birds of the Western Palearctic. Although we do try and make available all 9 volumes that comprise this set, they move through our hands fairly quickly, so they do go out of stock swiftly. The complete set covers all of Europe together with the Middle East, Turkey, Iraq and Jordan and Africa south to about 19 degrees North. Each volume contains distribution maps, coloured plates of over 740 species of which 600 species breed within the geographical range of this work. It's a comprehensive study of the avifauna of the Western Palearctic. It's a must for anyone who is interested in ornithology. The volumes we have are individually priced and given they are weighty tomes, postage is negotiable, but is extra. For any over £50-00p we prefer to send Special Delivery, but you can choose First Class if cost is an issue. Obviously 2 or more books combined in a package will be cheaper to post than 2 or more individual packages, so do contact us before buying to get a firm total price...a quick call or email will reserve the book(s) for you, so don't worry about missing out on the purchase. Because this set of books do move through our shelves fairly swiftly there may be slight variations in terms of editions and condition description from those listed; should there be any serious, material difference we do have a no quibble returns policy, but doubt any customer will be dissatisfied. |
