Kathleen McArthur was born in 1915 and died in 2000. Without any formal training she began painting willowers in the 1950s and published "Queensland Wildflowers in 1959. She was heavily involved in the conservation movement and a founder member of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland. This book, the first edtition, 1959, is in very good condition; the dustjacket has just 2 small tears, but apart from that is in very good condition. It has 10 wonderful illustrations, we show one here by way of example. A wonderful little book and a scarce one.
